In the Harz, spruce planted in rows died standing, first of drought and then of bark beetle, and whole slopes went grey. Overstory looks at a place from orbit and draws the classifier it learned, tree by tree, root-down, the weakest voters fading into haze. The thinning is the model's. It is hard to read it any other way.
Printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper using Giclée archival inks. A textured, natural-white fine art paper with a fine, uniform grain — acid-free and archival quality.
